Photography has a way of preserving a moment long after the day itself has passed. That's what I enjoy most about it, being there when something is happening and capturing an image that brings you back to that moment.

I'm Marc Smith, the photographer behind Marc Smith Photography. I've been photographing sports, events, people, and the places around me since 2018. What began as something I enjoyed doing has grown into a professional photography business serving individuals, families, schools, teams, and organizations throughout Shiawassee County and the surrounding Mid-Michigan area.

Experience Behind the Camera

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of people, places, and situations, continually developing my skills and learning to recognize the moments that make a photograph meaningful. I've also had the opportunity to mentor others as they developed their own photography skills.

That experience has shaped the way I approach every session. I focus on being present when the moment happens and recognizing the expressions, interactions, and details that make each situation unique. My goal is to create photographs that feel natural, genuine, and true to the people and moments they represent.

I'm proud to offer professional photography close to home. Many of the moments worth photographing happen right here in our schools, communities, fields, parks, and neighborhoods. You shouldn't have to travel to a major city to have someone take great photographs of the people and events that matter to you.
